We researched the house associated with Saleen’s ghostly experience and here are the preliminary findings.
Preliminary Haunted House Findings
The house was built in the 1880s and its one of the oldest houses in Orland Park, a suburb of Chicago.
It had a funeral parlor in the rear of the house. This was common when it was built.
The house had been empty for at least 5 years and used for storage.
Ghostly activity began shortly after Saleen moved in. Most activity included cold spots and phantom footsteps.
A psychic and medium have looked at the house and both noted there was a male spirit in the kitchen and a woman in the basement. Note: Neither person knew the history of the house before they visited.
Ghostly Activities has contacted the Orland Park Prairie, the local newspaper, to check its archives. We will also visit the Orland Park Historical Society to research the house and its earlier residents.
We’ll keep you updated as more information become available.
UPDATE (May 31, 2014):
The Orland Park Prairie has not responded to our information requests.
The house has been spiritually cleansed and Saleen reports no more ghostly activities.
Note: The house in the featured image is not Saleen’s house. It represents the style of houses in Old Orland Park. We’ve done this to protect Saleen’s privacy.
